Eco-City: Opportunities for Sustainable Human Settlements.

To communicate and share knowledge and experience of human settlements’ construction in China and other places around the world. The Forum seek to further promote the United Nations Habitat Agenda and facilitate the realization of the UN Millennium Development Goals, address global climate change and improve energy saving and Emission reduction in China.

The outcome of the 4th Forum was the issue of the Shenzhen Eco-City Declaration.

As a high level international conference committed to promoting the principles of sustainable development, we welcome the support of the United Nations, national governments, relevant international and non-governmental organizations and the local governments of the host country.

More than 400 officials, experts, scholars, developers, entrepreneurs of the scenic and cultural sites, planners, architects, designers, and reporters attended the conference.

The Forum was held simultaneously with third China City Construction & Development Expo, which was approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the P.R.C, and thus has received considerable national and international attention.

Conference Objectives:
To share the knowledge and experience accumulated by different countries of eco-city construction, energy saving and emissions reduction, improvements in human settlements; 
To discuss the sustainable solutions, problems addressed; lessons learned and the most effective ways of sharing such experiences.
